FAQ

Q: How do I place an order?
A: We offer four easy ways to place your order:

  1. Order online right here on our web site.
  2. Call 888-826-9876 to speak with one of our Customer Service Team members.
  3. Use the order form from our printed catalogs and mail it to:

  4. Fax the order form to 888-227-3826.

Q: Do I have to create an account to place an order online?
A: No, you don't have to create an account, but you will be asked for a billing and shipping address during checkout.

Q: Why should I create an account?
A: Creating an account saves your information so that you won't have to retype your billing and shipping address when you return to shop. Having an account also allows you to keep a wish list on our site, which you may share with family and friends by sending them an email directly from our site.

Q: How do I create an account?
A: Follow these four simple steps:

  1. Click on Your Account at the top right on any page of our web site.
  2. Click on the Register link.
  3. Enter your information. Fields marked with * are mandatory.
  4. Click on the Submit button at the bottom of the page.
  5. You will see a confirmation above your profile details if registration was successful.

Q: I forgot my username and/or password. How do I retrieve it?
A: Click on the Recover Password link on the login screen and you will be asked to enter the email address associated with your account. You will then receive an email that contains your username and password.

Q: Is it safe to shop online with Learning Train?
A: Yes! We use the highest standards in encryption technology to ensure that all of your personal information remains secure. Please view our Privacy Policy for more information.

Q: How do I locate a particular product?
A: Search for items using the search box located at the top left on every page. Enter the product name, item number, or key words and click on the Go button. Any items that match the criteria you entered will appear on your screen.

You can also browse for products by Category, Age Range, or Price Range. Use the links at the top and left menus.

Q: How do I add items to my wish list?
A: When viewing an item's detail page, click on the Add to wish list button. You can review and make changes to your wish list by clicking on the Wish list link on the menu on the left.

Q: How do I add items to my cart?
A: There are two easy ways to add items to your cart:

  1. When browsing different categories, age or price ranges, a "Buy Now" button will appear next to each item. Clicking on this button will add the item to your cart.
  2. When looking at an item's detailed description, an "Add to cart" button will appear below the details. Clicking on this button will also add the item to your cart.

Q: I'm having trouble adding items to my cart. What should I do?
A: Our shopping cart requires that cookies to be turned on. For instructions on checking for or enabling cookies, please consult your web browser's preferences.

Q: How do I manage my cart?
Changing item quantities
Increase or decrease the quantity of each item by changing the number in the quantity box, and then click on Update at the bottom of the page.

Removing items from the shopping cart
If you have added an item by mistake or changed your mind about an item, click on Delete item below the price.

Mail, fax or call in an order
If you are making a shopping list and intend to mail or fax your order, continue the checkout procedure until you reach the page that asks for your credit card number. You may enter your credit card information (if paying by credit card), or leave those fields blank. Do not click on the Submit order button at the bottom of the page. Simply print the page from your browser and mail or fax it to us. You can write your credit card number after the page is printed, or mail your order with a check.

Q: I have a Special Offer Code. What do I do with it?
A: There will be a box at the bottom of your shopping cart where you can enter a Special Offer Code. Click on the Submit button to activate your offer.

Q: Where can I get Special Offer Codes?
A: Special Offer Codes can be found on our printed catalogs and by subscribing to our Special Offers email list.

Q: How do I subscribe?
A: To subscribe, enter your email address in the Subscribe box on the menu on the left. When you create an account online, you can also subscribe by checking the box at the bottom of your profile page. You will receive a welcome email after you have successfully subscribed.

Q: How do I unsubscribe?
A: Follow the unsubscribe link included in your welcome e-mail. If you no longer have that email message, please contact us at custserv@learningtrainpub.com with the email address you would like to remove in the body of the message, and "Unsubscribe" as the subject.

Q: Do you charge sales tax?
A: Yes, we are required by law to charge state sales tax to any orders shipped to the following states: CA, IL, IN, KY, MA, PA, TX, and WA.

Q: How are orders shipped and how much does it cost?
A: We ship all non-expedited orders via UPS Ground. Please see the table below for shipping and handling charges.

Q: When can I expect my order?
A: Orders shipped via UPS Ground should arrive 7-10 business days from the time the order was placed.

Q: Do you offer rush delivery? How much does it cost?
A: Yes. Please call our Customer Service Team at 888-826-9876 to place an order with 2nd Day or Next Day delivery. Please see the table below for expedited shipping and handling charges. Orders for rush delivery must be placed by 1:00 PM Pacific Time, Monday through Friday.

Q: Do you ship internationally?
A: Yes. Please call our Customer Service Team at 888-826-9876 to place international orders.

Q: Can I ship an order to more than one address?
A: At this time, each order can only have one shipping address. Please place separate orders to ship to multiple locations.

Q: How do I complete an order online?
A: Click on Cart at the top right of every page to view your shopping cart, and then click on the Checkout button. You can also go directly to checkout by clicking on the Checkout link on the menu on the left. If you are not logged in, you will be asked to log in. If you do not wish to create an account, enter a billing and shipping address. Confirm the billing and shipping addresses on the following page, and if you need to make any changes, click on the Modify link. Enter your credit card details and click on the Submit order button to complete checkout.

Q: Can I change or cancel an order?
A: Orders that have been submitted cannot be changed or canceled. However, if you're not completely satisfied with any our products, please return the item within 90 days and we will issue a credit or refund your money.

Q: If I need to return an item, what should I do?
A: Send the item back to us at the address below. Include a copy of your receipt or packing slip, and indicate whether you would prefer a credit or refund. If you no longer have the packing slip, please write your full name, address, phone number and email address on a sheet of paper.

Q: Can I check the status of my order?
A: Yes. If you created an account online, you can look up the status of each order in your order history. Orders that have been shipped will include the UPS tracking number. If you provided us with your email address, you will receive an email confirmation when your order is shipped. This email will also include your UPS tracking number.
